Are you accepting new patients?

Yes! New patients are always welcome at Daniels Chiropractic, and same-week appointments are usually available. Call or text us at (262) 638-9999 to schedule your first visit.

Do I need a referral to see a chiropractor?

No referral is needed. Chiropractors are portal-of-entry providers in Wisconsin, which means you can call or text our office directly to schedule without going through your primary doctor first.

Do you take walk-ins, or do I need an appointment?

We work by appointment to respect everyone's time. We don't normally take walk-ins — the only exception is if an opening happens to be available in the schedule at the moment you come in. Your best bet is to call or text us at (262) 638-9999; same-week appointments are usually available.

What should I expect at my first visit?

Your first visit includes a conversation about your health history and goals, a physical exam to find the source of your pain, and a personalized treatment plan. In many cases, treatment begins the same day. You'll spend about 45–50 minutes with your doctor. We ask that everyone complete our online intake forms before their visit — if that's not possible, please arrive 30 minutes early to complete them in the office.

I have a really busy schedule. How can you accommodate me?

We've noticed that active people want to fit in time for self-care. We've opened up evening hours and Saturdays, too.

Do I have to have an X-ray on my first visit?

No. Every injury is different. Most cases do not require an X-ray. However, some situations will require one.

What should I wear to my appointment?

Comfortable, loose-fitting clothing is best — think what you'd wear to a casual workout. You won't need to change into a gown for most visits.

Insurance & Payment

Do you accept insurance?

We work with most major insurance plans. Coverage varies by plan, so call or text us at (262) 638-9999 with your insurance information and we'll help you verify your chiropractic benefits before your first visit.

Do you accept Medicare?

Yes. Medicare covers chiropractic adjustments (spinal manipulation) when medically necessary. Some additional therapies may not be covered by Medicare — we'll explain your coverage clearly before any treatment so there are no surprises.

What if I don't have insurance?

We offer a self-pay discount through Patient Options, a discount medical service organization that allows us to compliantly discount services for uninsured patients. For most services, the discount is between 30–50%. Call or text us at (262) 638-9999 and we'll walk you through the details.

I'm worried I can't afford it.

We understand that the uncertainty of healthcare costs can be very stressful. We provide our best estimate of what your cost will be before treatment begins. Research has consistently shown that chiropractic treatment provides the best value with the highest patient satisfaction.

What services do you offer besides adjustments?

Along with chiropractic adjustments, we offer dry needling, focused shockwave therapy (ESWT), Class IV laser therapy, active rehab and corrective exercise, sports injury care, and nutritional counseling — all under one roof at our Racine office.

What is dry needling, and does it hurt?

Dry needling uses very thin needles to release trigger points in tight, painful muscles — effective for neck and back pain, shoulder issues, headaches, and sports injuries. Most patients feel a brief muscle twitch or a dull ache rather than sharp pain, and many describe the relief afterward as well worth it. Our certified providers will walk you through everything before starting.

What is shockwave therapy (ESWT), and what does it treat?

Focused shockwave therapy (ESWT) delivers precise acoustic waves deep into injured tissue — up to 12cm — to break up scar tissue and stimulate your body's natural healing. It's a non-invasive option for stubborn conditions like plantar fasciitis, tendinopathy, and chronic muscle pain that haven't responded to other care.

What is Class IV laser therapy?

Class IV laser therapy uses high-powered, deep-penetrating light to reduce inflammation, relieve pain, and accelerate tissue healing. It's painless, drug-free, and often used for joint pain, muscle strains, tendonitis, and chronic conditions.

Do you treat car accident and whiplash injuries?

Yes. Whiplash and soft tissue injuries often surface days or weeks after an accident. We evaluate and document your injuries, then treat with adjustments, rehab, and therapies to restore motion and relieve pain. We work with your auto insurance and attorney as needed.

Do you treat work injuries?

Yes. We treat work-related back, neck, and repetitive strain injuries with a focus on safe, documented recovery. We work with your worker's compensation insurance carrier and provide the work restrictions and documentation your employer needs while you heal.

Do you treat sports injuries?

Yes — from weekend warriors to competitive athletes. Our team includes a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP), and we treat sprains, strains, and overuse injuries with a structured return-to-play approach combining adjustments, dry needling, and rehab.

Do you treat children and families?

Yes, we care for patients of all ages. Chiropractic care is gentle and can be adapted for kids, teens, adults, and seniors alike. Three generations of Racine families have trusted us with theirs.

We're sorry to hear this. If you want to benefit from chiropractic care in the future, ask your new chiropractor questions. What are my options? Have them explain before they adjust. That open dialogue is exactly how we practice.

I'm not sure chiropractic care will help my condition. How will I know?

Chiropractic care is extremely beneficial — but we understand it is not always what is most beneficial for every patient. If we are not the best solution to you getting better, we refer you to someone who is. Our strong network of providers collaborates for optimal care for our patients.

How many visits will I need?

It depends on your condition, how long you've had it, and your goals. After your exam, we'll give you a clear, honest treatment plan with expected timelines. Many patients feel improvement within the first few visits, and we'll reassess as you progress — no open-ended commitments.
