When his father asked him to consider the family chiropractic business medicine, Dr. Don originally turned him down. He had received a B.S. in Exercise Physiology from UW Madison and set on pursuing his Masters. That all changed the day he was visiting his brother at chiropractic school. It was simply described as a “strong feeling” that moved him. He knew in that moment he wanted to help people get better through chiropractic care and he ended up joining his father’s practice in the 1980's. Cleary the apple didn’t fall far from the tree.

Everyday Dr. Don enjoys impacting people in a positive way – physically, spiritually, and emotionally. He finds it rewarding to give new hope, relief, and mobility to patients who have tried other avenues of care without improvement. Whether he’s helping someone find relief from chronic arthritis, be free of severe headaches, or avoid hip replacement, he loves working for his patients’ well-being. He is known to spontaneously engage the healing gift of laughter at opportune moments.  And he overflows with stories, resources, and inspiration from his daily self-care habits.

Personally, Dr. Don enjoys being married to Liz since 1979, and living in Union Grove, Wisconsin. They have 4 grown children and 5 grandchildren. Locally, he serves on the school board at Christian Life School and teaches premarital classes at his church. Internationally, he has served as a medical missionary to Africa, China, the Philippines, and Hong Kong. In his free time he loves to get together with a friend for breakfast, take his wife on a date, or listen to a good podcast. And you can often find him cheering on Wisconsin sports teams!
